MY NAME IS IN LIGHTS!!! Well not exactly, but I'm delighted to finally have my pylon sign in place! It looks beautiful at night and our office is in such a great location for visibility - on the corner of George Ferguson Way and Gladwin Road in Abbotsford (around the corner from Superstore and only 2 minutes off Highway 1). Now all I need is the huge lit sign outside my window so people actually know which office I'm in, haha! And then customers will just flock in, I'm sure ... thank you to those special people who sent friends my way this past week - 5 referrals, whoo hooooo!!! ~ Linda
Two of my favorite things to do! I belong to a few fantastic networking associations mainly because I love meeting new people and working for myself prevents me from being part of the social atmosphere that working for a larger company provided - and I miss. Recently the new anti-spam (CASL) legislation came into effect. If you are in business, or if you work for a company that markets to their customers via email, you should be aware of this. If you're like many, you said "it's no big deal - how could the government possibly monitor this and have a method in place to actually fine the companies? I'm not going to worry about it." WRONG. Monitoring of emails is easily done, as those of you in the industry know. Not only that, but the major providers like Shaw, Telus, Google have been putting systems in place to SHUT DOWN accounts that are mass-mailing. Yes, they are. It's already happened to 3 people I know personally. We need to stay in touch with our customers, but we need to do it legally and respectfully. Because I shopped on-line at a store does not mean that I "agreed" to receive your emails on a daily basis - if at all ...
Here is what I posted recently to a networking site. i find it challenging to explain what I do!
After 40 years in the auto industry, including owning a successful dealership, I can say I've almost seen it all! I left the corporate world in July, 2013 to start my own automotive personal consultant/brokering business. Based in Abbotsford, I love the opportunity of working with clients without being tied to a certain manufacturer. It's been my dream for many, many years - working for people to save them time, money and hassle! I arrange financing and also have a selection of warranties available. I honour all manufacturer's incentive programs and work on your behalf. "How do you get paid?" is a common question. Similar to a mortgage broker, the dealership and/or finance company pays me. There is no charge to you, unless you need me to assist you with my time only, which is another service I am happy to provide. I am always happy to help - give me a call before your next vehicle purchase or lease!
